The Seeds of Discontent is a fundamental teaching of The Merlin. The Seeds pulse negative messages deep within our consciousness and are often from past lifetimes. They were designed to keep us from making the same mistakes and choices we made in the past.  

For instance, if we were selfish and greedy in the past, our Seed of Discontent will remind us to always be unselfish, perhaps to the point of self-sacrificing. However, Merlin points out we can stay hostage to these seeds long past their usefulness.  

When we become aware of the Seeds, and learn from them, we can release ourselves from the negative self-talk that often holds us back from our true soul expression.  

The energy within these Seeds, once liberated, becomes eventual wisdom. This teaching releases the soul, so it can be unhindered in manifesting its purpose.  

The Seeds of Discontent are experienced as a separation from our true self, from others, and from God.
